Purple Haze

After a very rainy and cloudy day, the sky cleared up in the late afternoon. I decided to head out the the heathland adjacent to my hometown. The conditions couldn't be better. Lush and intense colors, nice sky and good light. I am really happy with this scenery. The heathland is in bloom right now, so I was able to capture it's nice purple color. I really like to hear some thoughts and don't let the landscape fool you, the shot is leveled.

The colors here are so incredible! I love it! :-) That combination of the purple, clouds, and tree is something else.

Superb work, I love the way the heather draws you into the frame the eye travelling the land to the tree, laden with foliage leaning into the wind and the cloud formations floating by overhead. Excellent composition, exposure and a shot to be proud of. Simon
