Terra Incognita by JanPusdrowski Terra Incognita by JanPusdrowski
Terra Incognita

Strange light at Phare de Goury in Normandy. This spot is located in the north near a small village called Auderville. The rock formations in this image are much huger than it is displayed in this image. The huge rock in the center is in fact 2,5 meters high.
Sadly the thick clouds covered most of the light so I have choosen a long exposure to capture this strange "pinkish" light coming through the clouds. I must admit I totally fall in love with this composition.

Enjoy.

The texture in this is fantastic.  Great exposure, love the texture of the rocks and the smoothness of the sea.  And the use of the rule of thirds on the lighthouse...just a great well rounded photo :D

Superb shot - I don't believe I'm of the calibre to be writing a critique but, my only suggestion could be to pump up the exposure somewhat, the foreground detail is there, just feel with it being lighter, it would just feel more accessible.

Thanks for your input! But the foreground looks fine on my screen... I guess this is more about personal taste, I think the images represents the mood nicely. A brighter foreground wouldn't support that.
