Journey log: Stardate -309189.07.

Nearly three months passed since my last trip to Denmark. I am happy to announce that I will be on the road again at the end of this week.
Me and my good friend Alex, you will know him as NicolasAlexanderOtto, are heading for the Bohemian Switzerland and Harz in Germany. A mavelous place with impressive rock formations, the so called Elbe Sandstone Mountains.
The last time that the two of us were heading out was in 2011, I am asking myeself where all the time has gone. !

While staying the Bohemnian Switzerland we will be sleeping in caves and under ledges since tents are not allowed in the National Park. The so called "boofen" is the only authorised way to sleep inside the Park. "Boofen" is a very old east-german tradtion which goes back to the early 19th century when the rugged landscape was used as shelter in times of war. I am so excited about our upcoming trip that sleep continues to elude me. Nevertheless I am aware of this trip's underbelly. Carrying 25kg backpacks, while hiking through the rocks will be difficult and exhausting endeavour. Keeping this in mind I am glad for us to have the right level of fitness to pusure this task.
